ACPET is the Australian Council for Private Education and Training. They are the National Industry Association for independent providers of post-compulsory education and training with approximately 500 members. ACPET administers the OSTAS (Overseas Student Tuition Assurance Scheme), which financially protects overseas students who are enrolled in an ACPET member college and ensures that students receive tuition in the course for which they have enrolled and paid.

SELMAR Institute of Education is regulated by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) which is the national regulator for Australia’s vocational education and training sector.  ASQA regulates courses and training providers to ensure nationally approved quality standards are met. 
 

VET Quality Framework

 

SELMAR Institute of Education is regulated under the VET Quality Framework.  The VET Quality Framework provides national consistency in the way training providers are registered and monitored to ensure quality  standards in the VET sector are enforced.
The VET Quality Framework comprises:
•    the Standards for National VET Regulator Registered Training Organisations
•    the Fit and Proper Person Requirements
•    the Financial Viability Risk Assessment Requirements
•    the Data Provision Requirements, and
•    the Australian Qualifications Framework

 

All of SELMAR Institute of Education's vocational courses are nationally recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

 Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students - CRICOS

SELMAR Institute of Education is registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).  This register is administered by the Australian Government Department of Education, Employment & Workplace Relations (DEEWR). As SELMAR Institute of Education appears on the CRICOS register, we are governed by the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) framework. This includes a number of legislative pieces, including the ESOS Act 2000 and the National Code of Practice for Registration Authorities and Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students. These regulations are in place to protect overseas students and to uphold high quality standards within Australian Education Institutes.

SELMAR Institute of Education is a member of the Alzheimer’s Association.  Alzheimer's Australia is the National Peak Body for people living with dementia, their families and carers and provides leadership in policy and services. State and Territory Organizations provide information, support, advocacy and education services.

 
 

 Victorian Nurses Board

 

All of our Aged Care Trainers are registered with the Victorian Nurses Board. The Victorian Nurses Board regulates and promotes Nurses and Midwives in the interests of the Victorian public and the Nursing and Midwifery profession as a whole. We protect the Victorian public by regulating all fields of Nursing, ensuring those using the Healthcare System can be confident that anyone bearing the title of Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Midwife is educated and competent, meeting the high standards required by us for registration.
