Certificate III in Aged Care - SELMAR

The Certificate III in Aged Care is designed to prepare candidates to work in this highly demanding industry which has many attractive career opportunities. There is a huge demand for professionally trained nursing assistants.

Entry Requirements - Certificate III in Aged Care

There are no formal entry requirements for the Certificate III in Aged Care, only a current police check will be required for work placement.


Delivery Options - Certificate III in Aged Care

Campus Class
                    10 weeks, 3 days a week campus study, 1 day a week work placement
Workplace Traineeship    Group facilitation in the workplace or one on One

Eligibility for Government Funded Training for the Certificate III in Aged Care

The Victorian State Government supports learning and development for those wishing to advance in their career. In order to receive full government funded training the candidate must satisfy the following requirements:

•       Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
•       Must not already hold a qualification at certificate III level or higher

•       CHCOHS312A   Follow safety procedures for direct care work

•       CHCICS301A     Provide support to meet personal needs

•       CHCAC319A     Provide support to people living with dementia

•       CHCICS303A    Support individual health and emotional wellbeing

•       CHCPA301B      Deliver care services using a palliative approach

•       CHCCS305A     Assist clients with medication

•       CHCDIS313A    Support people with disabilities who are ageing

•       HLTFA301B       Apply first aid

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is available to all students applying for the Certificate III in Aged Care.
