This program is aimed at those who have already achieved the diploma of children’s services and wish to develop their leadership and management skills within the childcare industry

Working with Children’s Check
It is a requirement when working or volunteering in Children’s Services to hold a current Working with Children card. This card must be applied for immediately as it can take several months for your application to be processed. You may not be able to commence your work placement if you do not have a current WWC card. Your application needs to be lodged at Australia Post with the required identification.
Pre-requisite
The diploma in children’s services must be successfully completed before undertaking the advanced diploma of children’s services

Pathways for further study
Students may obtain recognition for their studies to gain entry to degree or advanced diploma courses at a University or with a private provider. Candidates having completed the Diploma may receive credits for part of these courses.

Eligibility for Government Funded Training
The Victorian State Government supports learning and development for those wishing to advance in their career. In order to receive full government funded training the candidate must satisfy the following requirements:
• Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Must not already hold a qualification at advanced diploma level or higher
