The Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care is a highly sought after qualification within the Early Childhood industry.

Course Entry

  • To complete Selmar’s Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, your Language Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills meet required standards for Diploma level study.
  • It is a requirement for anyone that is working or volunteering in the Early Learning industry to hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
  • The WWCC must be applied for immediately as it can take several months for your application to be processed.
  • Completion of a course requirement form.

Workplace Training

Workplace training is available to any student who holds a position within the Early Learning industry.

Selmar’s facilitators will attend the student’s workplace monthly to offer support and guidance.

  •  Working hours can be incorporated as placement hours.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) allows assessment of the student’s previously unrecognised skills and knowledge.

Distance Training

Distance training allows students the flexibility to study in their own time.

Facilitator contact is maintained via phone, email and placement visits.

  • On-going support and guidance.
  • Early Learning facilitator visits while you are on placement.
  • Study at your pace over 18 months.
