Certificate III in Children's Services

The Certificate III in Children's Services covers workers who use organisation policies, procedures and individual children’s profiles to plan activities and provide care to children, facilitating their leisure and play and enabling them to achieve their developmental outcomes.

Working With Children Check

It is a requirement when working or volunteering in Children’s Services to hold a current Working with Children card. If commencing in this course, this card must be applied for immediately, as it can take several months for your application to be processed.  You may not be able to commence your work placement if you do not have a current WWC card. Your application needs to be lodged at Australia Post with the required identification.

Entry Requirements

International students applying for entry into all vocational courses are required to have completed at least 10 years of schooling. 
International students are required to have an IELTS level of 5.5 or a TOEFL of 550.  Students whose language of education is not English and do not provide evidence of their IELTS level must complete SELMAR Institute of Education’s English Language Entry Test. This test may be conducted offshore by Agents.
